Paintworks in Bristol with it’s vintage airstream caravan and exposed red brickwork was the perfect backdrop for Dan & Sian’s awesome urban wedding! Dan is a guru at all things Bristol and their engagement shoot (which I apologetically have yet to blog) read pretty much like a Bristol hop-on hop-off bus tour (without the bus!) where Dan clued me up on all the history, Banksy artworks and cool locations in the area.  I absolutely LOVED it!

From the moment I first met these guys I fell in love with their laid-back, down to earth approach to life and the effortless love they so visibly have for each other.  We first spoke in the days pre-Covid (which almost feels like another lifetime ago, doesn’t it?) where they mentioned that they wanted to do a ‘first look’ with the Clifton Suspension Bridge in the background which I just thought was incredible!  (For those that don’t know, a ‘first look’ is where the B&G have a moment together privately before the official ceremony, and the groom officially sees the bride for the first time. LOVE IT!)

Sian got ready at the nearby Bristol Harbour Hotel right in the centre of Bristol which provided a beautiful backdrop for the bridal prep and journey to Clifton Down. There are just too many highlights to mention from this epic day but a few that stand out for me (second only to the ‘first look’ of course) are having Sian’s childhood family dog present at the reception dressed up in a doggy-tuxedo, the beautiful hand-painted artwork and stationery by Emma Louise Castle, the iced ring, bourbon biscuit and Jolly Jammer wedding cakes, the musical influence throughout the wedding and last but not least, the pub-quiz complete with confetti canons!

Dan & Sian, thank you so much for choosing me to capture these special memories for you! Wishing you a lifetime of love, happiness and laughter which somehow I don’t think will ever be in short supply!
