FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I love nothing more than presenting clients with prints, albums or image boxes. I offer beautiful, bespoke fine art albums in a soft linen finish. Have a look here. If you are looking for a more bespoke package, please get in touch! I also include a personalised USB for all 8 hour+ packages.  For smaller packages or ‘micro weddings’ I usually include an online gallery instead, however if you would like a USB or an album please let me know and I can provide you with an add-on quotation for these separately. Parent albums and ‘thank you cards’ can also be added on afterwards.

I feel that in our times, everything needs to be customizable. Not everything in this world comes in black and white and fits within the lines. I will quite happily put together something special for you.

I retouch every image as naturally as I can. I use a combination of Lightroom and Photoshop to achieve this. You can rest assured that any blemishes will be edited out. *Please note that I am unable to add dinosaurs to images at this stage!

I am a strong believer that there needs to be a good fit between client and photographer, especially when collaborating for a wedding! I highly recommend having an engagement session as a chance to get to know each-other a little better and for you to understand my shooting style and technique so that you are totally comfortable on the day! *Engagement shoots start from £149 for clients that have already booked.

Absolutely. I have photographed two international weddings and am more than happy to travel both locally and abroad. Depending on the size of the wedding, a second shooter may or may not be required. If one is required then there would be additional travel expenses. A custom quotation would be provided to you upon enquiry and a discount offered for exceptional destinations.

If you are getting married in Fiji, Bora Bora or any other remote island destination I will shoot your wedding for free – you just cover the travel and accommodation expenses!

In order to fully secure a date, I take a 20% deposit to secure. If you would like me to ‘hold’ a specific date, I am happy to do so until another request/booking for that same date comes in. In this case, I would notify you immediately allowing you to make a decision.

You can find my wedding packages over here, but please get in touch if you’d like to discuss a more tailored package for your wedding day!

In order to tell the story of your day properly I shoot from the moment the bride and groom begin getting ready and end a few hours after the real ‘characters’ emerge on the dance floor leaving just enough time for you both to let your hair down too.

I feel that having an engagement shoot is a brilliant way of getting to know each other in advance of the wedding so that both parties feel more at ease on the day.  I think that being able to see yourselves in images (taken before the day by your chosen wedding photographer) will help you to get the most of the images from the wedding day! I remember seeing my own engagement photos and it really helped me to concentrate on my posture on my wedding day, seeing how it showed in camera! Up until this moment I hadn’t ever realised how much I disliked my posture and as a result have been looking after that aspect of myself ever since! #itsthesmallthings

*I offer a discounted rate for engagement shoots to couples that have already booked in with me for their wedding.

I’ll let you in on a little secret … SO AM I! It’s because of this that i’ll be able to make you feel a little more at ease in front of the camera. I try to avoid contrived, forced moments and aim to shoot more ‘as it unfolds’. If you focus on being in the moment with your partner you’ll actually end up enjoying it, I promise!

The editing process is a very important part of the story that I’ll be telling and I pay careful attention to every photo. I like to tell clients between 6 and 8 weeks but if I can surprise you sooner, you can guarantee that I will. For lifestyle and newborn shoots, your photos will be ready within 2 – 4 weeks.

I try not to work with a second shooter, unless the wedding is too large for me to cover on my own, or time constraints or travel distances do not allow for me to be in all the places I need to be.  This will be determined upon our initial meet where we will discuss how you anticipate your day to unfold.

I would like to think that my style is somewhere between Fine Art and Documentary style. I do my utmost to capture real, raw moments and the moments ‘in-between’ – ones that you probably missed amidst all the hustle and bustle of the day. My style is emotive with emphasis on details and emotion.

Once the images are ready you will receive an online gallery of low-res. (Facebook, Email, PC friendly) sized photos which you will be able to download and/or share with family and friends and on social media platforms via the platform.
If you’ve decided on an album, this will be delivered to you together with a custom USB of all the high-res. versions of the images. Nothing brings me greater joy than to present something tangible that you will be able to cherish forever!

I will go through this with you in our initial consult but I generally ask couples to provide me with a framework (or list) of the photographs they would like.  This should include the names of all the people in each group shot so that I can easily call them out by name (with the help of a few groomsmen of course!). These group formal shots can often take a considerable amount of time.  Try to keep your images to a minimum and really think about who you’d like to be in them and how you’d like to order them.
