For anyone that knows me personally, or follows my work on social media, knows that I am addicted to beach shoots! Beach shoots are my absolute best, probably because I grew up in beautiful Cape Town, always besides the sea and it just holds the best memories for me, I just feel at home on the beach. But seriously, all nostalgia aside, I love shooting here because of the light, the mood, the wind that causes movement through your hair, the reflections, the sounds. I just find that everyone is more relaxed on the beach, don’t you think?
Charmouth Beach, in Dorset is such a beautiful little spot, I just loved the blue beach huts which came in really handy while we were waiting for the harsh sunlight of the day to fade as the sun set. I love how this shoot just came so perfectly together, all the blues of the sea, the huts, the outfits and these two gorgeous little brothers, the eldest with his curious, mischievous, free-spirited sense of adventure which just gave me all the feels! Did I mention I love shooting at the beach?
