Erin and Jake were married last summer in East Huntspill, a beautiful small town in Somerset. It was a delightful balmy day which allowed the efforts that Jake & Erin put into the reception party, to really shine through. There was a host of outdoor activities for the children (of all ages) to enjoy from outdoor games, bales of hay and an ice-cream wagon with a self-serve toppings stand! I mean HELLO!
Jake and Erin have three beautiful children who were so excited that mummy and daddy were getting married, I loved that they were present at the bride and groom preparations and that their excitement is clearly visible in the images. This was very much a family affair, with lots of relatives popping in and assisting with all the arrangements of the day. It was so lovely to be a part of the love involved from every angle.
Erin looked absolutely sparkling in her beautiful wedding gown – a true princess bride, and Jake, so very dapper! There were so many details put into everything, from the personalised tissues for the groom, the sentiment behind the fragrances, to the personalised hangers for the bridal party and the signs for the little page boys. I’m such a sucker for beautiful details! Erin even made her own bouquets with flowers from Somerset Fresh Cut Flowers in Broomfield.
Erin & Jake chose to be married at All Saints Church in East Huntspill, a grade II listed building dating back to 1839, I absolutely love old Churches like this as you can almost feel the history as you enter. I thought this was super significant as it’s clear that Jake & Erin have a lot of history together and this was even more evident in the emotion of the day.
The highlight for me was, at the end of the evening after the father-daughter dance (tearjerker!) when they both broke into a choreographed ‘Gangnam Style’ number! It was INCREDIBLE! Erin and Jake, thank you so much for having me be a part of your special day it was an honour to be there and honestly, more fun than work! Thank you for making my job so easy!
