The wedding of Liz & Nick at The Museum of The Order of St. John, London.

I first met Liz & Nick whilst shooting my first international wedding, for the lovely Alex & Nick at Notley Abbey.  Liz is Alex’s sister and her maid of honour so I knew in advance how down to earth, well organised and beautiful she was.  More to the point, I remember how much I enjoyed watching her & Nick together as such a fun-loving couple! It was an absolute dream come true when she got in touch to ask if I was available to document their wedding day! A few Skype calls later, I was fully briefed, incredibly excited and on my way to the airport to jet off to London on my second international wedding! (I was still living in Cape Town, South Africa at the time).

Liz & Nick commenced their wedding preparations at The Zetter Townhouse, one of the most splendid locations I’ve ever had the honour of shooting in – so quirky and just so wonderfully authentic!  It was a joy to photograph all the pretty that Liz had gathered, from the wedding stationery that was designed by Liz’s sister Alex, to the bracelet that Nick’s mom presented to Liz that day.  One of the things I love most about shooting weddings is watching all these relationships unfold and witnessing the emotions that come with this special day.

When they were ready I followed the bridesmaids a short walk down the road to the Museum of The Order of St. John where they were officially married.  It was such a wonderful Church, you could literally feel the history when you were inside.  They then had their reception at the prestigious St. John Restaurant in London which in itself was another exceptionally trendy, relaxed setting and a joy to photograph all the fun, speeches and emotions that came from the day!  Thank you so much to Liz & Nick for choosing me to document your day, it was a great honour and an epic, epic day!
